Sovereignty
We exist because the White Earth Nation chose economic self-determination. Cannabis is the vehicle. Sovereignty is the cause.

Waabigwan Mashkiki is the cannabis enterprise of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe (Anishinaabe). We grow, process, and dispense — all on White Earth Reservation, all under tribal authority.
Waabigwan Mashkiki (Waabigwan = Flower · Mashkiki = Medicine) is the sovereign cannabis enterprise of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe (Anishinaabe), headquartered on the White Earth Reservation in Mahnomen, MN, with four open dispensaries across Minnesota.

Every gram begins on White Earth Reservation. We grow indoor in small batches under tribal regulatory oversight — seed-to-shelf without leaving sovereign land.
Per the Ojibwe People's Dictionary, Mashkiki translates as 'medicine, a drug, a pill' in Anishinaabemowin. The Anishinaabe framing of plant medicine shapes how our team approaches cultivation and retail. Adult-use cannabis is regulated under MN Statute Chapter 342 and the 2023 state-tribal compact; we do not make medical or therapeutic claims about our products.
Revenue returns to the White Earth Nation as a tribal enterprise — supporting community programs administered by the Nation. The economic loop closes inside our community rather than flowing to out-of-state corporate shareholders.
