Waabigwan Mashkiki exists to create long-term economic opportunity for White Earth Nation and its people. But economic opportunity is only part of the mission.

As a tribally owned enterprise, Waabigwan also recognizes the importance of supporting the culture, language, identity, and traditions that continue to strengthen White Earth Nation and Native communities across the region.

Pow wows are more than events. They are places where generations come together, where songs and language are carried forward, where families reconnect.

Waabigwan Mashkiki

As of Memorial Day weekend, Waabigwan Mashkiki has contributed roughly $50,000this year in support of the Mother’s Day Pow Wow, Rice Lake Pow Wow, and the Urban Pow Wow in the Twin Cities. Those gatherings matter.

They create spaces for young people to connect with culture, for elders to pass on traditions, and for communities to continue celebrating and preserving Anishinaabe identity and culture. Waabigwan is proud to support these events and the people who organize them year after year.

As Waabigwan continues growing, the company remains committed to ensuring that success also supports the broader mission of strengthening community, preserving culture, and investing back into the people and traditions that make White Earth Nation strong.
